SMS messages are unencrypted and your inbox has got no protection. Anyone can open your inbox and see what messages you have in your inbox. They may even use your mobile to send SMS to others. This points out the need for a secure messaging system where the following features are included.
 1. Password protected inbox
2. Encrypted Messages
3. Longer messages
 The New application will have its own inbox which can be opened only on giving the correct password. The messages that are send will be encrypted before sending. The system uses the GPRS connection to send the messages to a central server where the message will be stored until the recipient fetches the message. The recipient upon opening his inbox, the application will fetch messages for him from the server using a GPRS connection.
